Housekeepers
Housekeepers cover a wide range of tasks depending on the family requirements i.e. house sitting and security (in charge of keys and alarm system), looking after the pets when the family are away, cooking, baking, dinner parties, arts & parties with children, nanny work, school runs, caring, companionship, dusting, cleaning, tidying, washing, care of antique furniture, silver polishing, flower arranging, shopping, gardening work, taking messages, emptying fire grates and re-laying the fire, car washing etc.
The pay for 40 hours per week ranges from £150 - £300 for live-in and about £300 and above for live-out (dependent on experience and duties).
PLEASE NOTE THAT IN RESPECT OF THE ABOVE MENTIONED CATEGORIES IT IS THE EMPLOYERS RESPONSIBILITY TO ENSURE THAT A CONTRACT IS DRAWN UP AND THAT TAX AND N.I. CONTRIBUTIONS ARE PAID.
